Children will need:
- something for a shared lunch
- a bottle of water
- togs and towel
- a teddy bear

We are going to spend the morning in the bush doing some interesting and fun activities. We will return to school for lunchtime and we'll cool off with some water play.

Spy Mission
On Tuesday I will be heading to Tauranga. I will be on a mission to learn about makerspaces. It's very exciting. Don't panic Room 5 - I have lots of fun planned for you, too.

End of Year Mass
This is a beautiful celebration of our year of learning. You are all welcome to join us. Don't wear too many layers - it gets quite warm in the church.

Manuka Team picnic - 5th December.
The more the merrier - 1 or 2 more parents would be wonderful. We are aiming to be back at school for lunch - so those people who would like to attend the junior prizegiving at JPC can squeeze everything in.

Young Vinnies
There is a can (nonperishable food) drive being run by the Young Vinnies. Donations are much appreciated. Collections are made on Fridays.

Christmas Parade - 2nd December
The parade takes place on 2nd December. That's this Saturday!!!! If your child would like to be in/on the float please fill in the note which will come home on Tuesday and return asap.

We are also looking for a few wonderful helpers to accompany Mary, Joseph and their entourage on their journey. If you think you can pull off an angel/shepherd costume, completed with a stunning fluro jacket, then you have all the credentials we need.

And our donkey has retired. So, we're on the look out for another patient and gentle donkey. Any ideas?

Bad Jelly The Witch (Sunday Morning Children's Radio Show)

We read a poem by Spike Milligan this morning and discovered that only a small group of kids had heard of Badjelly the Witch!  It is interesting to see who is able to listen to the whole story and who isn't able to listen to a longer story without pictures.
