Shhhhh!

Today were were missing 6 kids! We decided that since we had such a small class that we should just all be in the same reading group - then we'd have more time to play.

Chill Out with a Book

Mrs T put on some reading music this afternoon and we enjoyed a chill out time for reading.  We think that we should do this more often.  We didn't hear anyone talking so it was rally relaxed and calm.  Lots of us forgot that the others were there - it felt like we were all alone in the classroom.

Mrs Russell
Our Year 2 team farewell the wonderful, talented, incredible Mrs Russell at the end of this week. Mrs Russell has a new and exciting job opportunity. Mrs Russell and I have been teaching together for... a little while, now. It will be sad to see her go but I know she will be amazing in her new role. If you see her around, be sure to wish her well - not that you need too much luck when you have so much talent.

marist colts

The NZ Marist Colts Team visited today.  The kids were amazing in the Powhiri - what a great welcome for our visitors.  Mrs T the first had a paperwork block so Mrs T the second was looking after Room 5 - when she wasn't too busy playing rugby with the boys, that is.

Fathers Day

Bye bye, Ava

On Friday we said goodbye to Ava.  Ava has moved to Tauranga and is starting at a new school today.  We went outside to take some fun photos.  We wanted her to have something that she could remember us by. The photos are so gorgeous that I thought I should share them, too.

As Promised...

These are the coolest, calmest kids on the planet.
Not phased by the big crowd OR the microphone that stopped working. You are awesome!
