Money, money, money

One of our reading groups has been reading about NZ money.  We have discovered some really interesting facts about the Reserve Bank of NZ and about our notes and coins.  We were really interested to learn that there are hidden letters in the pictures of the notes.  Mrs T tracked down a magnifying tool to put on the computers/ipads and we found them.

The letters NZ are in the squiggly pattern between the 20 and the queen's shoulder.
It just looks black without a magnifying tool.

RBNZ is typed over and over in a little line just by the 20.
It just looks like a normal line without a magnifying tool.

It's on the 10 dollar note, too.

Most of the note is patterned with squiggles and lines.

It is amazing what you can see when you look through a magnifying tool.
Fingerprints, woodgrain, ...
